Juliana Saliba holds a degree in Industrial Pharmacy from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), a Master’s and PhD in Pharmaceutical Science and a Postdoctoral degree in Materials Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), as well as a Postdoctoral degree in Life Sciences from INSERM Paris (France).She has an academic background as a professor of pharmaceutical technology, cosmetics and business modeling. The key subject of this session is waste recovery for the construction of a circular economy. As by a definition waste recovery means any operation the principal result of which is waste serving a useful purpose by replacing other materials which would otherwise have been used to fulfil a particular function, different types of recovery operations exist. Her main research interests/competences are Circular Economy and sustainability, circular construction, waste as raw-material, Construction materials, Environmental Geotechnics. Geosynthetics. Her main activities include the following: Principal Research of 24 research projects and team member of 10 research projects in the area of geosynthetics, environmental geotechnics, circular economy and sustainability, Supervisor of 100 scientific research papers (Post-Doc, PhD, MSc), author/co-author of more than 350 scientific papers in books, book chapters, journals and conferences. The emission reduction goals set for 2030 are ambitious. The planet urges for decarbonization in order to prevent an unprecedented catastrophe by limiting the rise in global temperature and controlling climatic changes. Even if there is now no obligation to uphold the international agreements for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the industries must steer to this direction. This panel seeks to discuss the role of intelligent manufacturing in sustainable production, which aids in reducing climatic changes and is also accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.

She joined the Fiemg System in 2017 when she assumed the Management of Technological Entrepreneurship and manager of the Fab Lab Open Lab SENAI MG, developing actions and projects that promote access and democratization of technology and innovation. He is also editor-in-chief of DOM Magazine. Paulo has a Ph.D. in Transportation Planning Planning and Logistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (USA) and a master’s Transportation Planning and Engineering from Memphis State University (USA). He is a member of the Supply Chain Council (USA) and author of books in the areas of logistics, transportation, value chain and supply chain management. Currently leading the implementation of the Project Logistics 4.0, whose main objective is to enable and make available all the know how and the logistical footprint, present and under implementation, to serve customers 1P and 3P, totaling 6 DCs, 24 HUBs and 81 distribution points in Brazil.

With over 20 years of experience in the areas of Logistics, Foreign Trade and Supply Chain, he worked in national and multinational companies, leaders in the segments of air cargo transport, fuel distribution, infrastructure, international cargo management. He also stands out for his leadership in transforming, multidisciplinary and integration projects for process improvement, control and governance.

Martin Gravetti

Martín is a researcher and currently an associate professor in the Computer Science Department at UFMG. He was director of the Research Development Foundation of UFMG (2018-2022), and does consulting work for several organizations. Current research interests include, complex systems, complex networks, industrial process logistics and optimization, and organizational culture. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina) and a Masters and PhD in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) with a period at the University of Florida (USA). During the period 2007-2010 he was a research academic at the University of Newcastle (Australia) and did post-doctoral studies at the Universitat de Barcelona and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain). He has published more than 40 articles in international journals, advised 6 PhD and 10 MSc students, and is currently a CNPq 1B productivity scholar.

Antonio Harley

Graduated in Civil Engineering from Escola de Engenharia Kennedy in 1987. He holds an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, 1997. In 2011 he attended the “Transformational Leadership Program” at MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Specialist in Renewable Energy from UFMG – Federal University of Minas Gerais and currently a master’s student in hydric engineering at UNIFEI – Federal University of Itajubá in MG.
He was General Manager of engineering and development of energy business of Vale S.A., acting globally for 15 years. He managed the recovery of the areas affected by the Samarco dam collapse in Minas Gerais and worked for 11 years in the development of infrastructure projects in Africa, Asia, South and Central America for Andrade Gutierrez.

Experience in companies such as AMBEV, CPFL Energia, AES Brasil, Santo Antonio Energia and Cemig.
